Magnificent Monday

We made the most of our last day of Christmas Break on Monday the 4th. John stayed home with us, as compensation for being on-call over Christmas... So we took advantage of it and had a fun day.

First stop, High Rise for some trampoline fun! The smiles on my kiddos faces for the hour we get to jump is so wonderful.  And a Doc Mc Stuffin's song came on while we were jumping, you would have thought Addison was in Disney World -- she was so happy.

Second stop, furniture store. We like to torture our kids and drag them furtintue shopping with us. But I think it backfired...I think they tortured us!? Between chasing Asher around and answering Addison's 52,000 questions (raging from can I sit on this chair, this couch, this bed, this stool...to is it time to go, now is it time, is it time now?) I left exhausted and not even sure what we were looking for when we went in - ha!

After a little lunch at home and 'rest time' we were headed out again. I say 'rest time' because since the calendar has flipped to 2016, Addison has yet to fall asleep during her daily 1 hour 'rest' -- mommy isn't happy about that! I used to at least get 1 or 2 naps out of her a week...here's hoping school will wear her out and put her back on her old nap cycle.

Anyways, third fun stop for the day -- ice skating! Addison has been talking about ice skating for awhile now, basically since they closed the splash pad to put up the rink. It was a chilly evening but we bundled up and headed out.  Much to Addison's surprise, ice skating is harder than it looks! Ha! She was a little disappointed she wasn't able to turn triple lutzes but I think she still had fun pushing the little walker around the rink. She said she would like to try again maybe when she is 5 and she will be better at it.

We ended our advantages with a yummy Italian dinner at a restaurant on the Bentonville square.

Such a fun day with the whole family!
