Tis The Season

Well it may have rained all day and not snowed but it still is beginning to feel alot like Christmas around here.  I suppose it's because Thanksgiving is so late this year, but it seems like everyone I talk to is jumping into Christmas head first...so we thought we'd join in too!

We made our annual trip to Walmart this morning and picked out Angels from the Angel Tree for both kids to buy for.  We picked a 2 year girl and an infant boy.  Addison kind of got it, she definetly knew the presents weren't for her (we made that perfectly clear!) and that we were buying the toys to give away but I don't think she really got that she was helping someone less fortunate.  In time she will and it will be wonderful to explain to her that we've been doing this since she was one.  Addison enjoyed walking up and down the toy aisles and picking the perfect gifts.

Then for evening entertainment we put ornaments on our small Christmas tree.  We picked up this smaller tree on super clearance after Christmas last year and decided it would be the "kids" tree in the bonus room.  So I'm not allowed to worry about ornament placement or colors matching the rest of the house or anything...its a fun tree for the kids to enjoy.  Addison already loves turning the lights on.
