{Day #1} Christmas Elf

Long before the "Elf On The Shelf" book and doll became popular with all the kids, the Christmas Elf had been visiting the Malaney house each day in December leading up to Christmas.  It was the Advent Calendar 2.0 if you will...

So last year Mimi made Addison 25 mini stockings and this year we hung them all up and each day the Christmas Elf brings Addison a little surprise in that day's stocking.  She doesn't really get it yet and that's OK but its a tradition that I'm happy I can continue with my family.  Some gifts are bigger or more special then others but they all don't have to be super-duper.  Some days it might just be fruit snacks, which Addison will probably enjoy much more than her new Christmas PJs...which is what the Christmas Elf brought Day #1.
