Dougherty Christmas & Silver Dollar City
We had an entire day of family fun and Christmas celebration on Sunday. We started bright and early at Grandpa Docs with monkey bread, breakfast sandwiches and OJ before diving into the presents. Again, Addison was completely spoiled and is becoming a pro at opening presents.
We got Landon a couple of gifts but I think this one was the clear favorite...a zip-up hoodie that zips completely up over his face and makes him look like a vampire?! I don't know I guess it's all the rage with the kids these days. Maybe clothes for Christmas isn't too bad after all...

After we were done with presents we loaded up the car and headed to Silver Dollar City for an afternoon of rides and evening of Christmas lights. It was a beautiful day for Silver Dollar City. We got there right before the park opened and left shortly after the big lighting ceremony for the gigantic Christmas tree at the front of the park.
Although we brought the stroller she preferred to walk around like the big people :) |
Despite minimal naps, Addison was a trooper all day -- until we set her on Santa's lap! Ha. We waved to Santa while we were in line, blew him kisses and were all smiles...but then we got on stage and mom left and she lost it Oh well, I guess I didn't really expect anything less!
Christmas Came Early...
Christmas came early for this little lady! And she knew just what to do...Sorry some of the pictures are blurry but they were too cute not to share.
We got a great big package in the mail from Grandma Diane and Addison thoroughly enjoyed herself opening and playing with all her new things.

Addison and Emily unpacked the box... |
We're getting excited... |
YEAH! I love presents... |
Daddy only needed to provide minimal assistance. |
Immediately played with each gift... |
She loves to see how much she can carry at once... |
Took her new books (all of them) and headed over to her chair, climbed up, crossed her legs and read a few stories. |
Thank you Grandma Diane for spoiling us!
{Day #20} Christmas Elf
Day #20 and the Christmas Elf left Addison a Hot Wheels car...the Elf must know Addison has almost every pink toy created :)

{Day #15} Christmas Elf
Day #15 and the Christmas Elf left Addison some pretty necklaces to play with...so she can stop playing with the random mardi gras beads she found.
Ornament Exchange
I went to an ornament exchange Thursday night at a girlfriends house. It's always fun to see what other people pick out. I brought this white/pearly snowball...
I came home with this cool blue/green peacock inspired ornament. And the picture doesn't do it justice but it's huge...probably like 10 inches long!
And I'm a sucker for a good wrap job so over course I picked the over the top bag with the peacock feathers.

Yum-O
Addison thoroughly enjoyed yesterday's treat from the Christmas Elf. She knew exactly how to dip the little cookie/crackers. And then she gave herself a yogurt facial...I hear it's good for your pores!
