{Day #15} Christmas Elf
Day #15 and the Christmas Elf left Addison a gingerbread craft project and Asher some diaper cream. Poor Asher, his gifts aren't too exciting but when you are only 4 months old and the second child...turns out you don't need much from the Dollar Spot at Target -- ha!
Even though Addison was still a bit under the weather she perked up enough to get her craft project completed.

Giggles
Rewind a bit to Thanksgiving...it's too funny not to document because I'm sure I won't remember on my own some day.
Addison's class made a sign at MMO and it said "We are a THANKFUL bunch." Every kid's name was then on a pumpkin and with the teachers' help they all had listed what they were thankful for. One little girl said "hugs and kisses from my mom and dad" isn't that cute - it wasn't my kid. One little boy said "pumpkin pie" - that wouldn't be my kid either cause she won't try anything new to eat. And one kid even said "my new baby brother" - surprisingly not my kid either, there is another mom who just had a baby. What did my kid say...the suspense is probably killing you...my kid said "JUMPING" -- ha! And even when asked several times leading up to Thanksgiving and on Thanksgiving her answer never changed...this year Addison is thankful for jumping. When asked to explain herself she finally told us she was thankful that her daddy had gotten a bounce house for her birthday party and she liked jumping in it. ; )
So not as completely random as I had initially thought but just a great way to tell her daddy thank you.
{Day #11} Christmas Elf
Day #11 and the Christmas Elf brought Addison stickers for her Frozen sticker book and Asher a pair of socks.

Giggles
Addison and I went Christmas shopping last Friday evening and left the boys at home. She was pretty excited for our girls adventure and insisted on bringing a purse and wearing it cross-body just like mommy.
First stop was a toy story to buy gifts for others. They have a Thomas the Train table and Calico Critters house setup to play with so I saw very little of Addison while we were in there. After I made our purchases and pulled Addison away from the toys we headed towards the door.
As I am opening the door Addison looks up at me and says...
"Wait, I've got to take this call..." And proceeds to pull her pretend cellphone from her purse.
I convinced her that she would have plenty of time to call them back in the car as we drove to the next store...ha! My girl is growing up!
{Day #10} Christmas Elf
Day #10 and the Christmas Elf left Addison a Hello Kitty craft project and Asher a little bottle of baby lotion. Addison wasted no time and got started on her craft immediately following breakfast.

{Day #9} Christmas Elf
Day #9 and the Christmas Elf left the kids Hershey Kisses. Being the great big sister she is, Addison promptly offered to eat Asher's because you know "he can't eat candy for a long time" -- ha!

Children's Christmas Train
{Day #8} Christmas Elf
Day #8 and the Christmas Elf brought Asher a pair of socks and Addison got punching balloons. The Elf also had to leave Addison a note to remind her that Santa is watching and to be a good girl...we had a rough Sunday in the behavior department ;)

Addison immediately found a boo-boo that needed a band-aid! And Asher, well he will put that bottle to good use since we are going thru a bit of a nursing strike...again!
Tuesday, December 2, 2014
{Day #2} Christmas Elf
Day #2 and the Christmas Elf left Addison some window clings -- which she has been asking for since we started decorating the house for Christmas, because apparently all holidays require a new set of window clings for the front door! And Asher got a new Christmas onesie.

Letter to Santa
This weekend Addison finally sat down and compiled her Christmas list. Although its easier for her to just say "I want all the girl things" I insisted she narrow the list a little. I had her look thru the toy catalogs again and cut out pictures of the things she really wanted. And although there was a little guidance from mom (you don't need the Barbie mansion if you don't own any Barbies yet) she did most of it herself.
Once 'the list' was finished we took it to the special mailbox on the Bentonville Square to make certain it made it to Santa! And if we are lucky, Santa might even write us a letter back.
