And so goes another month...wow!
I think my favorite might be the 11th...well maybe the 13th because she looks like such a big girl...well maybe all of them because she's mine and I love her to pieces!
If you notice the picture on the 28th is a little sub-par because I nearly forgot to take a picture of her. So I risked waking her up and snuck back into her room, turned on the lights and took a picture just so that I could keep the streak alive.

MIA
So I've unintentionally taken a little break from the old blog. I was having trouble logging into Blogger last week and never had the patience/motivation to figure out what the problem was. And see it paid off, I tried again today and it worked just fine - no trouble-shooting needed.
So here is a quick rundown of what we've been up to over the past week...
We spent a lovely evening at the mall fountain...yes, its a destination now. Addison LOVES being outside in the evening. She pretty much insists on it, so we've started varying up what we do because you can only walk around the neighborhood so many times.
We cheered on the Shake's Frozen Custard Football Team -- GO LANDON! Landon did great in his first game.
We let Addison have her first taste of dessert...chocolate wafer cookies and cool whip -- yum! I think she liked it :)
We met some new neighbors...

Sunday Surprise
A typical Sunday around the Dougherty house...a little football...a walk around the neighborhood...you know the normal stuff. And as I had my fingers in Addison's mouth removing the wood chips she was eating (you know normal stuff) I noticed she had a new tooth! Bottom, to the right of center. And as long as I had her upside down and mouth open I decided to take a look at the top too...and guess what -- another tooth! Top, to the left of center. I guess they didn't bother her as they were breaking through.

Beat Bama!
Big game for the Razorbacks today...the Alabama Crimson Tide are rolling into town. Even though most people are still a little down from last weeks lost...the tailgating must go on and even if we don't win today at least we can throw a good party! I made a cake for a friend's tailgate and this is probably the only time we'll see the Razorbacks taking a bite out of the Tide. :)
The forecast for today looks to be pretty rainy, but if it holds off we may head down to Fayetteville to join in the tailgating fun. But we won't be going to the game...John passed up FREE, front row tickets because he said he had better things to do with his afternoon then watch the Razorbacks get killed!
And because I had a little extra icing and a few spare cupcakes, I made a couple of these cute little guys to go along with the cake.

11 Month Update
Sweet, sweet Addison! How is she already 11 months old...
Developments this month:
- She is nursing 4 times a day and eating 3 meals with a solid snack. Meals are now 100% finger foods as she will having nothing to do with anyone helping her. Her bedtime snack continues to be yogurt and that is the only time of day she will let you feed her with a spoon. Anything with cheese is a favorite right now -- mac and cheese, grill cheese, cheese and crackers, shredded cheese.
- She is sleeping after her last feeding which is at 9:30 and she is still taking 2 good naps ranging from 1 to 1.5 hours each.
- She is wearing mostly 12 month clothing and a size 3 diaper.
- She is a full time walker and walking has almost turned into running...she's fast!
- She can shake her head "NO" and "YES" although "NO" still comes more easily.
- She can wave hello and good bye (same thing really be she responds to both now instead of just bye-bye)
- She can blow kisses, but it's with the back of her hand.
- She winks at you if you wink at her...really its a very deliberate blink of both eyes but she thinks she is winking.
- She will go and get her baby doll, book or monkey if you ask her to. When she goes and gets her dolly (aka: "Baby") she always gives it a kiss.
- She can give high-fives (sometimes) and does the "so big" gesture if you ask "How big is Addison?"
- She has four teeth now. The two top ones came in this month on the Sept 5th and Sept 11th.

Weekend Rewind
Friday...we played in a box with Daddy after work.
Saturday...we played in a box, cheered on the Boilermakers, played in a box some more and cheered on the Razorbacks.
Sunday...we played in a box, went for a walk at the park and cheered on the Packers.
The Boilers, the Razorbacks and the Packers all lost...so at least we had fun playing in the box.

Boiler Up -- Purdue vs Notre Dame
Sure the game isn't until 3:30 this afternoon but when your day starts at 7:30 AM, tailgating starts early too! And while we won't actually be doing much tailgating...she looks stink'n cute!
THANK YOU Auntie Abbey and Uncle Kyle for my Purdue cheerleading outfit!!!

On The Road Again...
We took advantage of the long weekend and packed up the car and headed to St. Louis to meet John's mom and Bill. I'd like to blame Addison for most of it...but man did we need a lot of stuff for a 3 day weekend?! We rode up with Chris and Landon and I don't think we could have fit much more in the car or the additional luggage carrier we were fortunate enough to barrow.
Happy travelers...
First stop Saturday morning after our complimentary breakfast at the hotel...the Magic House. It was a very wet day in St Louis thanks to the remnants of Hurricane Issac so the Magic House was a popular (and extremely loud) place to be. But it was really interesting, it was a great big house full of interactive exhibits. They had a mock city complete with a post office, grocery store, fishing pond and ice cream truck, a bubble room, a 'who done it' scenario, a Lewis & Clark exhibit and lots of other exciting activities.
Saturday night we were entertained at the Royal Dumpe for dinner. Its a little dinner theater type place on the Landing. I didn't take one picture...oops! Addison did really well at dinner though. But I guess with all the singing and dancing, I should have expected no less...there was plenty to watch.
Sunday we made our way to the Science Center. John and I had been there several years back with some friends but it was nice to take Landon there. Again lots of interactive exhibits for the kids...but Addison was pretty content sitting in her stroller snacking.
Monday morning we were on the road again shortly after breakfast. The weekend went by way too fast but it was really nice to be able to spend some time with Diane and Bill.
