I could spend hours and hours on Pinterest.
I love looking at what other crafty, creative, talented people are doing and dream of all of the little projects I would like to do.
I pin all sorts of stuff -- cookies, holiday, DIY, birthday party ideas...
I actually do very few of the little projects that I pin.
But over the last several weeks I have created these beauties for the front doors! THANK YOU PINTEREST!

Sunday Breakfast
I made my two loves an extra special Sunday breakfast...well not really -- I warmed them up Sunday breakfast. Good old Egg-o Waffles, breakfast of champions. Addison did not partake in the butter and syrup, just Daddy, but both were apart of the clean plate club.

Saturday = Family Time
We started off Saturday bright and early and headed to the Farmer's Market. We strolled around the square and got our tomatoes and peppers and then hung out by the fountain until John was done with work. We let Addison out of the stroller and she roamed around the place like she owned it. Several people stopped us to ask how old she was because she was so stable on her feet...made this mama pretty broad :)
Saturday afternoon Chris and Landon came over for a swim, but the weather wasn't the greatest and the water in the pool was a little cold so it was more of a play in the backyard kind of day. Landon found the last little pile of dirt that we needed to spread and completely covered himself in it -- boys will be boys!
Saturday evening we headed out to dinner with them before going bowling. Who doesn't love a place that gives out firemen hats with dinner!?
We were really just a tag along on their bowling outing but Uncle Chris was nice enough to let Addison bowl a frame with him.

iPhone Pics
Lately I have been taking most of my pictures of Addison with my 'real' camera, but from time to time she does something truly amazing or oh so cute and all we have is our iPhones. So here are a few moments captured via iPhone camera from the last couple of weeks.
Watch out Missy Franklin, Addison Dougherty is ready to swim! |

10 Month Update
Addison turned 10 months on Saturday...WOW! I know I say it every month but I think the months are going by faster. I'm going to have to try again on the 10 month photo shoot...someone wasn't being very cooperative. Below is the best and the last picture I was able to snap.
Developments this month:
Developments this month:
- She is nursing 4 times a day and eating 3 meals with a solid snack. Meals have moved from baby food to mostly food she can feed herself because she doesn't want my help. New favorites are spaghetti, mac and cheese, cantaloupe and cucumbers. If we put food on the end of a spoon or fork she can get it into her mouth...most of the time.
- She is sleeping after her last feeding which is between 9 and 9:30 until we wake her up at 7:30 in the morning. She went through a bad streak of waking up once a night for some snuggles but as of late she seems to be doing better. And she is still taking 2 good naps ranging from 1 to 1.5 hours each.
- She is wearing 9 month and 12 month clothing and a size 3 diaper.
- She is a full time walker these days...baby gates have gone up and we continue to baby-proof the house as she helps us identify things she can reach/get into that she shouldn't. :)
- She went on her second big road trip to MI and was able to experience a lot of 'firsts' with cousin Claire -- the zoo, Lake Michigan, the park and swings.
- She can shake her head "NO" and understands what it means when we say it...and sometime she obeys.
- She is waving bye-bye.
- She still loves the water...the pool, the water table, Beaver Lake and even the Splash Park. We've signed her up for the next session of swim lessons again.
- She has two teeth now -- both on the bottom. She got one while we were in Michigan on July 18th (I noticed it while we were at the zoo) and she got one this past Wednesday, August 8th.

These Shoes Are Made For Walking
Addison took her first steps the day before she turned 9 months and in just these few short weeks she is a full time walker! Of course the videos don't do it justice because as soon as we try and video something she immediately stops...
I took the first video while I was in Michigan and sent it to John so he could see how much she had improved.
This second video is just from Monday night. We used to have to really work with her to take just a few steps and it usually involved a bribe of some sort. Now, I turn around and she is walking across the room or following me.

July Picture A Day
I think I'm finally getting caught up with the blog. We had an eventful end of July, lots to share!
My baby girl is growing up so fast and I love looking back at each day and remember everything that happened -- the zoo, the lake, the boat, the car ride, the pool, etc.

Friday Fun
We had Landon over for some fun on his last day of summer vacation and John's last day of vacation!
Then we went to the Bentonville Square for First Friday. Nickelodeon was sponsoring a Back To School event so there was a bunch of kid games and goodie bags.
And finally and probably the most fun for everyone was the Splash Park. It's just off the square in Bentonville so we walked over and let the kids get wet. Addison had never gotten wet at the splash park before but I think (with dad's help) she really liked it. I think we will be making many trips to the Splash Park next summer with Miss Addison!
First, we baked cookies. Landon decided he wanted to do Razorback cookies so he did a hog, a football and a football helmet and then red and white sprinkles. They were yummy!

Daddy's Little Helper
First, let me apologize for Addison being naked in all of these pictures. Its been HOT and we took a swim break in the middle of daddy's build.
While we were in Michigan Auntie Anne, Uncle Ryan and Cousin Claire bought Addison a new toy. Claire-bear has had a little car like this for awhile (affectionately named Sweet Petunia) and she LOVES it so much they knew Addison needed one too.
Addison was a big help as daddy put SP2 (Sweet Petunia 2) together.

We did some test driving around the house but we haven't taken SP2 outside yet. Right now Addison would rather use it as a jungle gym and climb all over it.
Crystal Bridges Museum
What do you do when the high temp for an entire week or more is 100+ degrees...find new and interesting inside activities to keep you busy. Apparently we weren't the only ones thinking this way because the Crystal Bridges Museum was a crowded place to be for the middle of a weekday. We had been all around the outside of the museum on the trails but had never made it inside so it was a great way to spend a steamy late morning/early afternoon.
Addison is apparently an art connoisseur because she was 'talking' up a storm as we strolled through the museum. It was very interesting and right now they have a copy of the Declaration of Independence which was very cool to see.
